Haleiwa Joe's is definitely an experience worth checking out at least once ir maybe even more depending on your preference/vibe. The garden setting is absolutely stunning, and the views are just breathtaking. I'll post some of the flowers and plant pictures i found interesting. The food is a solid 10 for us, i usually give five star review because I go to the restaurant and I review them defending on their vibe, food and mostly the people representing the establishment. We tried the famous prime rib, and while it's tasty, it's huge--I couldn't even finish it! We also had the Thai fried calamari and a small clam chowder, which was a nice appetizer. The sauce was slightly sweet and paired well with the crispy texture. The sea view salad was pretty good too, also on the semi-sweet side. Let's not forget the last dish we ordered, we went with the baked fish--simple, but flavorful. Heads up: most people aren't kidding when they say to get there early. If you're not there by 4:30, expect a bit of a wait. To end things on a sweet note, we shared the Paradise Pie. It was semi-sweet and rich, but that chocolate sauce really tied it all together. Overall, a memorable

One of the best meals ever with spectacular views! Everything from the seafood chowder to the dessert and everything in between was great. Spared No Expense! But really, the cost was quite reasonable compared to other venues and especially resort regions. We first arrived the night before around 6pm and were greeted with a 2.5hr minimum wait. With the jet lag, that was just not viable. We opted to return the next day at 3pm and wait an hour until it opened at 4pm. When it opened, the line was already massive. Definitely get there early!

We’d seen this restaurant in so many YouTube videos. Finally we decided to give it a try. We showed up on a Tuesday night. The parking lot, which is weirdly next to an apartment complex was pretty full with tight spots but we found a spot. We walked up the to host and she informed us a 45 minute wait, we didn’t mind because we wanted to explore the garden below. We requested a table along the railing and told her we didn’t mind an extra wait for it. We wandered down then not even 15 mins later we got a text that our table was ready! Overall the place was crowded, loud, full of tourists and families but the staff was super sweet. The drinks were soooo tasty too! The blended mango drink was incredible. The food was pretty good! Also really great value! We are more poke and shave ice people and this was typical steakhouse food. We had a great time, the atmosphere is the reason to come here. Feels like you’re in a Jurassic park movie. Incredible.

Restaurant opens at 4pm. You should get there by 3:15-30pm. No reservations taken. We got there at 3:35 and by the time we got to the front of the line, it was a 25 min wait to be seated. People arriving at 4:10p.m. were waiting 90 minutes. The service was excellent as was the food and the ambiance of elevated veranda over-looking Haiku Garden amidst the backdrop of the mountains with the setting sun on them is spectacular. Pricey, so not an everyday thing, but worth a special treat. And save room for dessert!

What can be said that hasn’t been said before... This place is stunning. It is the single most beautiful place I’ve ever experienced a meal at. The view is just breathtaking. The food is incredible and service is top notch. The best suggestion is to get there early. 3:30ish as they open at 4. Get in line and wait. We thought getting there at 4 would be fine but we were wrong. We ended up waiting 1 1/2 to get a table. Was that kind of wait worth it? Absolutely. For everything you eat and see, the experience is grand. In that time of waiting, we did go down and explore the gardens a bit. There’s some walking paths that go back into the beautiful landscape and you can feel like you’re in Jurassic Park for a few minutes. We got a seat at a bar top as we waited for our table to open up. Has a couple drinks. They are served strong so you get your moneys worth. We also got some garlic bread to hold us over. It’s was the single best garlic bread I’ve ever had in my life. They will also serve you normal bread at the table, along with amazing guava butter. It’s out of this world. We finally sat down at the table and all the worries of waiting so long melted away. I just couldn’t stop staring out into the landscape. The views are so worth it. The food came out and was top notch. From Presentation to taste. I got and highly recommend the teriyaki sirloin steak. I know most get the prime rib but that’s too much for me. The steak is served with a wasabi sauce that just elevates the taste so much. We also got desert. I got the chocolate pie. It was good but wasn’t amazing. I would suggest something else. If you’re on vacation, this is a must. It will leave your jaw dropped and it will be one of the core memories you’ll take away from the trip.

Haleiwa Joe’s Haiku Garden is one of those spots that feels like a little escape into paradise. Yes, it’s a bit touristy, but the lush garden setting more than makes up for it. I always bring visiting friends and family here, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently solid. The prime rib is a massive portion easily feeds 2-3 people and is super flavorful. The pork chop was juicy and perfectly cooked, and the grilled fish with macadamia nut sauce was a real standout fresh and rich without being too heavy. Come for the food, stay for the view. Just be ready to wait a bit during peak hours no reservations (but the scenery and open bar helps). Always a treat when I get to come here with guests!

Haleiwa Joe’s in Haiku is a beautiful spot surrounded by lush greenery—it feels like you're dining right in the middle of a tropical garden. The views alone make it worth the visit, especially around sunset. The food is excellent. The steak is a good size and cooked just right, and the seafood is fresh and flavorful. Drinks are strong and tasty, and the staff is friendly and attentive even when it's packed. It does get busy, so getting there early is a good idea since they don’t take reservations. While you wait, you can walk around the garden and enjoy the scenery. Great place for a relaxed dinner with friends and family.

MAGICAL! This breathtaking, romantic spot made my birthday dinner unforgettable last week. Our server, Caroline, and the team were exceptional—attentive and kind (10/10 service!). The portions were generous; the Prime Rib and Mauka Makai (braised short rib & grilled tako) were solid (4/5 stars for flavor, quality, texture). But the views? A jaw-dropping 10/10! Overall, a 5-star experience—I’d return in a heartbeat. Strolling the trails before and after dinner felt like stepping into a movie. What a privilege to dine in such a stunning setting! [To management: The chocolate cake and berry sauce had an off-putting chemical taste and poor texture, likely from preservatives. Seemed like a factory/mass-produced product. Please consider fresh, locally made desserts with quality ingredients—guests will happily pay for it!] Grateful for reviewers’ tips to arrive early. We got there by 3:15pm (Saturday), jumped behind the 20 people in line, and snagged a ledge table with a stellar view at 4pm opening. FYI: The Ko’olau mountains will steal your attention, and you won’t want to leave. Savor your meal slowly to soak it all in!
